Following a competitive tender process which included a 3-month wearer trial, Yaffy has been awarded the contract to supply stationwear and safety footwear to Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.
With 750 staff wearing uniform based across 26 stations Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service are set to roll out their new uniform, supplied by Yaffy in early 2025.
Yaffy will supply the whole uniform wardrobe including safety footwear, bespoke stationwear, and personalised garments from Yaffy's sister brand Alexandra's ready-to-wear range.
Every member of staff will be fitted for their new uniform by Yaffy's sizing team before the rollout. Staff will have the opportunity to try on their new garments to ensure the perfect fit.
The full range will cover from head-to-toe garments including a Hijab, Duppatta, Over coat, Softshell, Fleece, Pilot shirt, Polo shirt, T shirt, shalwar kameez, belt, cargo trousers, formal trousers, officer shoes and safety boots.
The cargo trousers feature a ripstop polycotton fabric with expandable waist allowing the staff maximum movement and comfort. This is the first time this fabric has been used within garments manufactured by any Mi Hub brand.
Safety footwear for staff will be the Magnum Responder boot - designed and developed especially for emergency services responders. The Responder is fully waterproof and features a composite toe and plate for protection, insole for comfort and shock absorption, blood bourne pathogen resistant lining, and is tested and certified to EN ISO 20345:2011 S3 WR SRC.
