Yaffy's technical footwear range has been carefully curated with hardworking emergency service heroes in mind. Featuring high-performance tested and certified safety footwear for blue light personnel who are on their feet for long periods. Here are our top tips to help you care for your footwear.

Keep them clean

Regular cleaning can help maintain your technical footwear. Brush off mud and dirt after it's dried naturally and then if necessary wipe clean using a damp cloth.

Do not put your technical or safety footwear in the washing machine. Exposure to detergents and immersion in water can attack the bonding agents and stitching.

Treat with waterproofing

If you have leather technical footwear and purchase a waterproofing product, you can regularly treat the leather. When worn in wet conditions, leather can gradually lose its water-resistant qualities, and if left untreated leather can slowly harden and crack.

General care

In some products within Yaffy's technical footwear range, manufacturers such as Magnum use a treatment in the lining such as AgionĀ® which wicks moisture and sweat away from the foot to help prevent unpleasant odours.

Undoing the laces before taking your footwear off can help retain the shape and durability.

Dry slowly

Do not apply direct heat to your footwear. At room temperature, dry your footwear slowly using natural air. Paper can be used to help absorb moisture and retain the shape of your footwear when stuffing inside.
